Welcome
My work is a love letter to the overlooked - a celebration of the textures, patterns, and small treasures in nature that often escape notice. The motivation of this work is to illuminate the richness of the natural world, crafting a visual diary that not only showcases these small, seemingly insignificant items but makes them the heroes of the canvas, inviting viewers to discover the beauty that lies waiting at our feet.
The Coastal Postcard Collection
These are part of an ongoing series I started creating for the Ceredigion Museum inspired by vintage Welsh postcards I've collected in local charity shops. I’ve used a combination of mixed media print techniques, photography, and scans of the postcards. I’ve really loved going through them to include postage marks and hidden messages sent to loved ones about their lovely holidays in Wales from as far back as the 1920’s.
Prints and cards available to buy at the tourist information center shop below the Amgueddfa Ceredigion Museum. I will also be bringing these along with me at Ceredigion Art Trail events throughout the summer.
